I've seen the picture of page one, and his topic at that forum in an earlier stage. But it got heavily edited since the beginning. Still is being edited. I was just wondering how his original post looked like.

But don't really mind it, I can sort of fill it in for myself.

Also, Alex, u demon, u hater, what have cheaters ever done to us?! ZOMG!

Quote:

Dearest n00bstories staff team,

This letter is addressed to the related users of the case of me using RGH, the n00bstories staff team and to the close online friends.

I would like to take this opportunity and extend my apologies to the staff of n00bstories and to the server owner, Crimson. Most importantly, to the community for the use of *cheat name removed*on the server, n00bstories AOW/CMM 1. I would also like to apologize for the disappointment if any of you had for me.

I am not a malicious person. Some of the few long-term players like Amber, [BA]Achiles, babyfire4 (both the account owner and his girlfriend, though I hardly see them recently) and some others, know me better than the other regulars. I have to say it's sad to reveal that I have been using *cheat name removed*1.3.3 for the last week or two. I am utterly disappointed with myself as some of them speak up for me some time ago when someone suspected me of using a third-party program to ease my gaming experience in advantage off the rest of the players. That period of time, I can assure you that I did not use RGH. I know right now at this period of time the trust between everyone and me is almost zero. To make you guys believe me that I did not use *cheat name removed*in my entire life in Renegade is almost unbelievable or the most-unlikely situation. All I can do is to tell you guys the truth, that is I did not until the last fortnight.

I have played Renegade about half a year after they came out. And I admit that I was a game exploiter. (I used to hack MapleStory, and I did go relatively further than short in that line. For what reason; to explain, would be tough for you to believe. Simply put it that I'm always interested in the internals of how things work. Some may view a computer just a computer. But I tend to think if we use programming languages to build programs. Like C++ or VisualBasic, then what are the programs that build the builder? Questions like what's the very first computer still lies unknown to me. I don't mean to stray away from the topic but these are some illustrations to help you understand my situation. Also, Crimson and some other moderators would have noticed me being actively interested in how Sir Kane throws that much timed-c4 on his buggy/humvee in such a short period of time. Which I feel that I have done too much research online to expose myself using RGH) I have searched for a third-party program to help me perform better than the average. But to no avail then.

Until recently when I saw a screenshot somewhere that has the name "RGH 1.3.3". I couldn't believe how easy it was to access the download and attain it. So I spent some time playing around and then it became a bad habit. I'm all to blame to even start with it.

I have found n00bstories a place for me some time around last year in 2006. A place where I feel comfortable no matter the circumstances. That is why I've always stayed with n00bstories and be active as when I have the extra time apart from my work. (I work as a public relations officer for a hotel doing my internship.) There is no way I could express how I feel in this server since the day I join till now. So much fun times, so much laughters, so much awesome rushes, so much experience together. And apparently I screwed it up myself.

I'd also like the readers to understand these following reasons as to why I started using *cheat name removed*in the past two weeks or so.

First, I started to feel that I have not improved to the extend of the elite players who can snipe like a heat-seeking bullet. And to the extend that makes me feel like they are using third-party programs. I feel so taken advantage but do not misunderstand, I trust that good players are always good players. And that if they were cheating, the staff here at n00bstories would have done a awesome job than ever to apprehend the suspect.

My bad on playing mind-games with myself.

Second, I rarely come online to play as most have noticed, that even being an ATM would be impossible at the period of time. (I do get ATMs and I am thankful for the trust placed in my hands. I do not intend in any time playing in this server to play out your trust. Not in the past year, not in the past months, never have I. I could hardly fork out time for myself to play on the server as I have been busy with events after events, upcoming examinations about a month ago, assignments and lots of new projects.

My bad on putting real-life stress into this server in particular and relieving it by cheating.

Third, in relevance to a certain extend to 'not playing your trust' in the above reason. I honestly had the intention of advancing my knowledge of cheaters. One of the way, also one of the worst, is by using the hack and experiencing the aspects of it. Recently I have caught a guy using *cheat name removed*and he was banned by one of the moderators in which I do not have the mind to recall. I could say that he was using it largely to his advantage. Nevertheless, large or small, it is still cheating. Like I am.

My bad on using the wrong way to learn the aspects of cheats (as all I do with the ATM powers when I have them is qkicking the GTA-ers and afk-ers. I wanted to do more for the server. My bad for trying too hard to prove to Crimson or andr3w282 that I am worth your trust. Apparently, once again; I've screwed it up myself.

I would just like to say that I have enjoyed my time in n00bstories and it will end right here if the ban is a permanent one. Please do not misunderstand. I do not mean to say that if you don't lift the ban or lower the punishment to a timed-ban you will loose a guy like me. I mean to say that if it's a timed-ban, then I will most probably come back to play after the ban, this time strictly without *cheat name removed*with guarantee from my heart. I don't want to make this letter sound like I'm begging for my ban to be lifted so if it sound like that, please note.

I felt so much for the server, honestly, that if the team lives near Singapore, I would make a trip down to them and party like how the recent party was held.

You have done a great job in maintaining the server. It is in my deepest regrets to have this occur. But for one to prove his intentions are hard. Self-serving attributes of a human will make one think of myself as someone who is trying hard to redeem myself from my mistake. But I am not. My intention of this letter is to apologize, and to keep the regulars and staffs updated on what's in my mind. That is all. Whether or not this event of me using *cheat name removed*or this letter changes your perception of what kind of person I am, I can not control. But at least I make an effort to inform of my intentions and reasons, not explanations to redeem myself away from the label,"cheater"

To end off, you can take this as a letter directed specifically to the regulars or n00bstories staff which ever to your preference. Have a great day!

Sincerely,
Jay
(puffaway)

He seems sincere. It was quite the long apology. I'm not sure why someone would put such time and effort into an apology if for not to be truly sincere in his apology. Most cheaters as for forgiveness, but then start flaming everybody when they refuse to forgive them for their cheating. Jay seems a little different. His message to Alex, however, makes me question his sincerity.

whoa.

If he was truly interested in how things work, he'd at least make his own cheat instead of downloading one.

How stupid can you get?!

Well ehm, to an extend where someone is busy in his real life, everything is fine with his real life friends, real great people who understands and respects me. (Like what I said, nothing I say can make the public believe me right at this point in time. I don't blame you guys. It's part of understanding psychological matters within the public.) But in his online games, feels that many others could do insane things like Sir Kane and his flaming buggy/humvee. Or snipe like an RGH-er. Or take you down in split seconds with a chain gun when I, few years experienced player, knows how to dodge. That's pretty much fucked up when you try for more than a year to train yourself, not only in the day but in the middle of the night (If you noticed, I play during your nights or late afternoons. That's my early mornings.) but end up still getting trashed by some new guy whom I never seen before in the server in my whole entire life playing in n00bstories. And last but not least being ignored by people. I have to agree that one could have not seen the chat entry come up in regards to him. But what are the chances that 98% of the time one wouldn't see?

Still, I thank the players like [BA]Achiles, Amber, babyfire4 (in the earlier days), and a couple more that treat me like a normal person by replying me no matter how long after I PM them. (They reply me after the game if they have no time to reply)

Indeed in the period when I was attempting to cheat online. I used BH, one of the dumbest cheat. That got me banned from Jelly. I would have to say that was what brought me to n00bstories and since then there was no cheating. Then again to what extend would you guys believe me? One would just enter this thread and go,"Woh! Pwnthxbai!", "Ha-Ha! Fucking dumb.", and all the assumptions of one, me that is, when you don't know me. Speculations, are inevitable, then please make it sound like one, instead of a statement.

Tunaman wrote on Thu, 26 July 2007 01:44

And you dont even need a macro to throw c4 that fast or without facing the pt hahaha.

Well apparently Tunaman you have no experienced or understood the game enough. Either that or I've spent the whole of my entire span in playing Renegade doing nothing. Indeed you could throw timed-c4 one after another in attempt to create a flaming humvee/buggy. But how potent can it be? Boom, ... boom, ... boom, ...? Or Boomboomboomboomboom? There is absolutely no possibility for one human to be able to throw like how I was researching on. Sir Kane's technique is definitely a macro.

WNxBoMbZU wrote on Thu, 26 July 2007 06:21

Sad.. It was a nice guy

I would say up till this day, Bomzu is one the handful who I feel do not use a third-party program to increase the ease of gaming Renegade. I appreciate the times I enjoyed the fast paced rushes and assistance in-game. Thank you. It has been awesome.

Up to this stage, you are the only person who have felt something like how you felt. It really saddens me to have spent so much time, genuinely playing without a third-party program and get banned with absolutely no mercy on the hostility as soon as I am discovered for using a third-party program which I apparently used for a fortnight or so.

trooprm02 wrote on Thu, 26 July 2007 10:26

wow, great story. I wonder how old he is? He believed you that you used a "macro" to buy stuff not facing the PT, yet talks like hes 40 on that forum. But the cheating SS's, just....and he was a mod in n00bstories?

Yes, I was a temp-mod in the server. Andr3w have placed his trust in me, I am thankful for the chance. Thus I'm not going to ask for a chance to be unbanned since I feel the whole community in here, and in n00bstories are against cheaters as though they did something to harm the server in a way that needs days of fixing and down-time.

I'm 17 years old, Jay. Nice to meet you. I have been on forums as moderators, administrators, and served as event holders for private mmorpg servers. I'm sorry if I portrayed a wrong image of my age on whichever forum you're reffering to; as what I understand from your post. As for the macro, you have to trust me, or live in peace with you own and run away from the fact. (Read above)

Whats with the picture him being in the hand, seeing meds through the HoN walls, Wall hack? Surprised ( as little know about rgh, i thought *cheat name removed*only had infantry wallhack thing, not vehicles, i can be wrong, so if im wrong, is that *cheat name removed*too? )

Having that type of vision cant be a bug...

The HON walls was a real glitch. There was no wall hack or so.

jamiejrg wrote on Thu, 26 July 2007 12:21

Seriously tho, what are the chances of him posting a screeny of him cheating, and sir kane is in it. I find that quite funny Very Happy

Sad to say, I was too engrossed in getting the answer to Sir Kane's technique. Too engrossed in feeding and releasing my query to geekstogo. He was taunting, ignoring and being a unreasonably mean person. Never thought a person like Sir Kane would survive in the community being such a mean person to people who are interested in understanding facts(Unlike the download-unzip-run-hack type of leecher). Now one possible reply to this statement would be,"Never thought a person like puffaway could even be a temp mod in the server but ends up he cheats." Well for two weeks that is. Nevertheless it's still cheating.

Apparently when I logged on to the server in-game today. I didn't have my *cheat name removed*on. Just so happened the next time I try to connect I got banned. Then again, what are the chances one would give to me when the evidence is rock hard out here?

cheesesoda, I would like make another stretch to thank you for making an analyzed comment there. Pretty much appreciate it. Not because you're helping me, but because you dare to stand out from the mass and make a statement everyone's not making.

It was great pleasure meeting and getting to know and understand you guys at n00bstories. Unfortunately I am feeling that no one took the effort to get to know me and understand me.

Puffaway, what Sir_Kane was doing WAS NOT a macro. It's one of the several PT bugs in the game. I can't remember exactally how it is done but from the top of my head: Face the PT at an upward angle. Press and hold V. Press X to rotate 180 degrees. Press E to enter the PT and 5 to refill. Click primary fire. Repeat from "Press E".

Get some knowledge.

It's easy, you cheated, therefore you should be treated like the rest of the cheaters. RG Banned (For using RGH) and your IP publically posted so all the servers can get rid of you.

Theres no excuse for cheating. No if's no but's.

You want to understand how certain cheats work? Fire up a PRIVATE game and test for yourself.
