I have the original renegade. Updated with the latest patches. Playing online with others is very fun, but I have a friend who would play with me. The bad thing is that he has a pirate version. Yes, i know, I'm sorry about it. He won't buy the original, because he don't wants to play that game too much, just sometimes with me. Is it possible to play together online? I've heard about serial generators, but those only work if you have the original. Can we play if we installed the game with the same CD?

The game is very cheap (5 - 10 €). But then again: you guys can use the same serial, xwis doesn't check if a serial is used multiple times. However, if he gets banned from a server, you'll be banned as well.

We both used hamachi. I could see him and he me. We both opened the game, went to the multiplayer lan. I could go to it without problems, but he got an error message even when i wasn't in the game. The problem has to be at his PC. We haven't changed our ip adress.
