Were they a couple of ticks? I'm thinking they were sucking on the dog's blood and something in the blood made them die. (isn't there a pill dogs can take that does that?)
I'm the bawss.

Perhaps the dead couple are a couple of roaches. The dog accidentally set off one of those bug fogger bombs which killed the roaches, and since the dog senses the harmful scent, he tries to get out of the room.

Oh, this one is starting to sound familiar now.
The dog accidentally knocked over a fishbowl, knocking the couple of fish out, which then died of asphyxiation.
That doesn't explain why the dog is trying to get out, though.
Or maybe it knocked the fishbowl on purpose to drink the water, and after the fish suffocated, the dog had to go piddle, thus explaining it trying to get out.

This seems too easy that I'm almost guaranteed to get it wrong. I'll still give it a shot.
The woman was the driver, crashed the car, and due to the impact caused he to be thrown through the vehicle's windshield.
