Before I dive into the unknown, I'd like to hear from you all who already know if there is a good Renegade Mod worth playing, or have they all died out like the most inspired star.

Over 2 years ago I did infact try Renalert but my computer died soon after and I have never had the faith to Download it again.

I was very impressed but after 2 years and seeing how Renegade plrs have dwindled I really would like to know if anyone still plays Mods.

Darn, you got me, I just checked out their web site and CAN'T believe its not done after at least 3 yrs in the making.

They must be perfectionist or maybe Modding is just very difficult and time consuming.

So have u tried Renalert and if so does anyone play it anymore?

it hasnt been 3 years, the 3 years is when the original reborn was being made, then they dropped it, then more guys came along and said they wanted to finish it, so they did, and so it's been probably 1-2 years in their freetime..not bad.

yeah, thats not bad at all, I noticed ACKs name attached to it and I would like to see Titan1x77 help out as well because they seem to me to be the best Renegade mappers.

Am I leaving out anyone?

Neither work on the team anymore, unfortunately. However, the APB team does have Raapnaap (formerly Naamloos), who is quite skilled.

Yeah, RenAlert (now APB) is still going, reborn too. There is also Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising which is an RA2 -> Renegade total conversion (unreleased though). You may also want to check out Scud Storm in the Renegade section of Moddb.

I went and downloaded the latest APB and am not disappointed. The only thing is that if you're a fan of playing with large numbers of players, you'll find yourself waiting for good game sizes.

Reborn will kick ass when it comes out; Apoc Rising will kick ass when it comes out; APB will kick ass even when its Beta comes out. So stick around and download em all.
