It could be a stab in the dark but perhaps this is about us having a new Prime Minister Sarcasm.

Apparently he really isn't someone to mess with and has left other people he works with in tears. It appears he finally got what he wanted pretty much by default (who else was there?).

No, he should have started a new general election when he stepped down... he had the power to call for a general election at any time.

I haven't heard of much to do with rigging elections here at all. There has been plenty of scandal don't get me wrong but I don't think that has ever come up as a big issue.

why would blair call a general election, he wabts the labour party to remain in power, if he were to call a general election he wouldnt get the millions compensation for stepping down
