I don't even know who it is or where this thread is, I'm just making the logical observation that this guy made a total ass of himself by saying these forums had ads when in reality his computer is infected, and instead of admitted that, is now trying to say he was "kidding". I doubt he photoshopped a screenshot just for this "joke", Everyone can plainly see the truth. Razz

Then you are an idiot. That screenshot is of these forums. The text color etc is exactly the same, and I'm sure that if I cared enough, I could do a search on the database and find exactly which post the screenshot was taken of.

The fact of the matter may indeed be that you "believe" that the screenshot was taken from some other place, but the real FACTS are:

1. This site has no ads, never has, never will.
2. Your buddy (you apparently know who it is) made a post saying this forum has ads, said it was "gay", and even provided a screenshot of one of the ads.
3. After it was pointed out that there are definitely no ads on this site, your buddy and you now say that it was a "joke"

Any fool can see that he really thought the site had ads, and that he is/was infected with spyware, and is now trying to backpedal. FFS its just spyware, why hide it? Its not like he is admitting that he is gay.

LOL. I stated all of the facts. You are the one who blindly keeps defending your buddy despite the truth right in front of your face. Ah well, I guess that's what good friends are for, to defend you even when they know you are wrong. Your close relationship is admirable and nothing to be ashamed of.

If anything good comes of this thread hopefully it will be:

1. Don't believe anything someone tells you without considering the facts.
2. Everyone should run AdAware periodically. Even if you don't visit gay porn sites you can get spyware.
3. If you make a mistake, it's a lot easier to just admit it and move on, rather than make up excuses and get your friends to lie for you, just to save face.

I and everyone I know who uses AdAware have never had a problem with it. I've never used AVG but it probably does a decent job as well. Using either of them would keep someone from doing something dumb like claiming that random sites have ads on them when they do not.

I had just assumed that was the sites that he visited. He said that these forums were "gay", and most people who use gay as an insult are also homophobes or gay-haters, and there is a large percentage of gay-haters that are actually closet gays themselves (they hate the fact that they are gay, and they act like they hate all gays so that nobody will suspect).

As a general rule I would say that "most" porn sites probably have spyware, but I'm just guessing and have not conducted a survey or anything Smile

One thing you are all missing is that this forum has smilie (adds) in some posts(!)
I have never Ever seen adds on Renforums, and if i did i would whip out camstudio and start recording!
