the serv i play at in irc has this special bot that records and can detect anyones nicks or ips

ok this one guy we do a search comes up with about 5 nicks with 4 different ip's then each nick u search comes back with about 9 more nicks and like 5 new ip's then every ip you search comes with about 4 new nicks so no matter how many ip's or nicks you search you keep getting more all of this guy what do you think of this or he may be doing with all them nicks and ip
s?

I think you need to learn how to spell.

Also, I think that dude has AOL or something, which very often changes IP.

Bad grammar, bad spelling, not understandable....IP's either monitoring for cheaters or hax0ring j00r computer for social security numbers so he can steal your bank account money.

Is your server on gamespy listings? All seeing eye allows you to choose any nick at any time. Dynamic ip is nothing new: it changes everyttime you reconnect to the net.

If the first few octets are the same in the IP it's the same person. If not it might just be coincidence or there are more than one players behind a local area network.

dynamic ip rules,

i dont get it, if the nicks have different ip's how do they all show up on one search...

well u do search on nick it gives u a list of those nicks and like ips for each of the nick so it shows u how many ip's that nick has played on then ip search shows all the ip's that are nicks under that ip and so on

He could just use a direct connect tool and like to play under different nick names allot. That, coupled with the fact he has a dynamic i.p could just make him look suspicious.
