Hi all,

I'm sure this has been asked countless times, but I can't really find anything that helps me.

I have vista premium, and I just installed Renegade plus the 1.037 patch or something. And by ticking the "Windows xp sp2" and "run as admin" boxes I got it working.

Until I start the actual game, when finished loading it just quits the game, unless I start the tutorial, wherein I get to play till the first guy finishes talking.

The game obviously works, but it has some bugs. Any way to fix this?

Don't be stupid, I'm not going to throw away a legit copy of Vista for a soon to be outdated OS.

I asked for a FIX FOR VISTA, not how to install XP thanks.

Hey man that is free advice, I'm giving you the answer to nearly all your computer related problems for the next 5 years!

Plus from the backing I see, XP Pro is going no where.

The only thing I see in Vista is DX10, and that's not appealing enough for me to upgrade.

I guarantee that XP with be updated via Microsoft themselves, or by a third party for DX 10 support. There is no way all the best hackers out there are putting up with vista, just not happening.

I'm sure they'll make DX10 for XP, the majority of sensible gamers won't move for another two years, by then Vista will be the main OS being written for, rather than the XP only or XP and Vista Apps that are being made right now.

Renegade works absolutely fine for me on Vista, there's no need to run in compatibility mode or Admin mode.
