It's been bugging me for a while now, it looks like some kinda of blueprint. I've seen it in more places than Ren, does anyone know?

It looks suspiciously like a concentric decorative background design, similar to the menu for Tiberian Sun. It isn't meant for any other purpose, or it would have been common knowledge ages ago.

I see things similiar in like RTS games where thats the indicator (tells units to move to a location).

Its actually 3 textures repeated over around the circle if you look closely Tell Me

so that means its not any kind of blueprint.

Its in the campaign missione 10 lol, I never really got through single player though, I just do alot of editing with those maps.

Maybe its just some sort of menu for EVA. And those little boxes on the ends are things he can tap on to look at info.

I think Warranto is on the right track. Blueprints of the nuclear strike beacon. The three lines that meet in the middle have a center line marking like blueprints have.

I knew i'd seen it in other places:

This is the cover of a book i bought ages ago, it was published in 2001, and as you can see the cover contains the same thing as what appears in the renegade menu.

So i'm doubting it's the ion cannon schematics
