Got Vista installed and found my renny Cd's to install this great game. With help from Gozy and other on KoSS2 i got it working with renguard.
I have played this game in windowed mode for ages and want to configure renny to play that way. Tried the normal "Renegade Config" program but it always starts in 800 * 600 full screen.
Even when i tried to just run game2.exe. with same result.
Downloaded latest Nvidia drivers, but with same result.
The sysinfo.txt in the renny folder stays the same even after trying to configure other resolution.

i saw once a standalone program where u could configure renny settings, but I can't find out where.
I don't know if this are are an Vista, renguard or graphic issue but if anyone can help, please do.

nope, same result.
Arrest me if i'm wrong here ....
in the sysinfo.txt file there are the game setting.....
and if u use the config program an change somthing there it write the new setting in the same file ?
But this does not happen for me.....

The problem is that the config program is running in user mode and renegade itself in admin mode (I assume). Under Vista this means the settings are stored in separate places.
Run the config utility in admin mode and then apply your settings, that should do the trick.
EDIT: Out of interest, why is this under RenGuard client and not Renegade client anyway? Or did you think the problem was RenGuard related?
