so i got home from school and turn on the computer,
clicked renegade when renguard popt up says downloading new file,if it doesnt work download from www.renguard.com
download complete it closes,
so i click on renegade again thinking it will start, but nothing happens, renguard doesnt poppup back again just nothing happens after a while,
i restart my computer, click renegade same think happened: renguard popt up, said downloading, done downloading it closes, click rengeade nothing responds,
anyone has the same thing or can tell me what to do?
please answer to this,

well really great thanks cant play f*cking renegade now cause of the stupid update,
nobody even responds is this forum active?
reinstalled renguard and renegade nothing freaking works
cause of the new "update" renguard and renegade dont even launch
cant play now, bieing bored to death,

Right, plenty of potential causes:
C:\westwood\renegade\game2.exe
^ = Renegade without Renguard, see if that works.
If it doesn't, look for a file named d3d9.dll within C:\westwood\renegade\
if this file is there, delete it and try to load Renegade again.
--OR--
Person who reinstalled Renegade, did you patch Renegade to Version 1.037 first?
Finally, moaning about people not being on here 24/7 won't get you anywhere, and if you say Renguard is "crappy" we all eagerly await your, own and personal flawless substitute.
Renguard is a wonderful initiative

both things check out
my point was that renguard has been so bad over the past week and from what a hear a lot of people have the same problem.
the easiest thing to do would be to put the new version out as a complete download and stop this nonsense in updating

Dig into Renegade's history a little, you'll see that this program (Renguard) is lucky to be here at all.
