I play renegade regularily, my friend want to play renegade. When it says "Testing Bandwidth..." it freezes his computer and the only way he can stop it is by resetting his comp. He says he meets all the system requirements. I know his computer is like 10 times better than mine. He has uniinstalled/removed the program 209 times in hopes of it fixing himself. Are there any fixes that anyone knows of?

I have no idea if this is the same problem but it sounds a bit similar to one I have each time I reinstall- tell him to try and hit Alt and Tab when it freezes and click "grant access" on any security window that might be up. I think that's what happens with me, but it's probably just my specific security program.

yeah

Is it possible that any firewall may be preventing access?
