This usually happens when a server is behind a router and so are you. Most servers are not behind a router, so you should be ok for these.

I'm taking a guess here and going to say your using a proxy.

Turn your HideIp program off and it should work.

If your not using a HideIp program, Disable your firewall.

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

If he was using a proxy, he wouldn't be able to join any serevr (or would be able to join all) afaik as proxy's don't work with Renegade.

Then explain how one person went on a uber-hacking rampage on n00bstories server and had multipul IP's?

And what does AFAIK mean?

its called dynamic IP. Also you can theoretically use hacked PC's to do bouncing. Thats way more complicated then a proxy though.

wrong.
playing renegade (or other games) via some kind of (special) proxy is easily possible. with some basic knowledge and another machine under your control (used as the actual proxy/forwarder) you can use it as a "bouncer" and play without revealing your real IP.
with a bit more work (some client hooking or so) you could even use any (public) socks4/5 proxy to hide your ip.
even if playing via public socks4 would be more pain than fun Razz

Let me rephrase: there's no easy, publically availlable way to use proxies, compared to what you can use them for other things like visiting websites.

And I suppose someone who knows how to do what 0x90 and ghost describe, would know why he gets nego port with server.

I suppose your right Goztow, But proxy's can lag the fuck out of you, Hence I said turn your proxy off (I Guessed he was using a proxy because his Country isn't shown.)
