Current favourite is this: http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/systemview.aspx?id=100
I ocan only stretch to £600 including VAT+Delivery and I am in England.
Only thing I might do i double the memory up to 2048mb for an extra £20.
Any comments or suggestions for alternatives would be apprecieated, things that matter:
Pentium Dual Core Processor
Decent graphics card, preferably SLI
min 1GB memory

Good choice, MexPirate. It looks like a nice PC to me.
It seems you are a "plug-and-play" person like me: like buy the computer and play!
But I agree with everyone else's suggestion and so I highly suggest that you build your own rig...it's WAY TOO COOLER AND IT IS SO EASY! You will love your investment.
Here's a great tutorial site everyone's talking about:
http://www.buildeasypc.com/
It explains EVERYTHING.
But of course, feel free to buy the Fusion...looks damn good to me.

My own advice would to be to not buy Vista until November this year - by that point, it will be as stable and relatively secure as XP, as well as having more software designed to run on Vista, and not XP.
Yeah, overclockers are expensive, but it's all high quality hardware for gaming enthusiasts.
Mex - you've got two PSUs in that... (one in the tower, one not) - feel like mailing me one?

Supporters of Proposition 8 will argue California does not discriminate against gays, as the current law allows them to get married - as long as they wed a partner of the opposite sex.

danpaul88 wrote on Sun, 06 May 2007 06:12 | My advice: Dont get ebuyer extra value, its unbranded stuff they get from several places and its not always very reliable. Get some Crucial or Kingston RAM instead, will put the price up a bit but will likely last longer.
|
Yup.
A verry good buy at the moment is Crucial Balistix PC5300 these are well priced and deliver a bang for the buck.

| NEVER buy vista until XP is out of the update list and yea build ur pc is waaay cheaper than buying cuz the pc company has to pay the ppl making it and i recommend ATI 1600 & nVidia 7600GT if ur cheap or if ur rich Asus 8800GTX or ATI 1950 and RAM u cant go wrong with corsair and AMD FTW!!!

Carrier is right, build your own. There are loads of tutorials on the net. My advice is invest in an expensive motherboard, cheap ones are slow and crappy.

Expense does NOT necessarily mean greatness...You can build an entire computer for around like US$1000. http://www.newegg.com

icedog90 wrote on Thu, 10 May 2007 01:56 | Haven't you seen the Core 2 Duo series? They're cheaper AND faster than the current dual-core AMDs. Trust me, this is coming from someone who has always liked AMD in the past, but I'm not a fanboy of either. I just go with whatever is the best deal at the moment.

Motherboards based on Intel chipset is more expensive in combination with processor vs AMD X-serie and motherboard. The thing is these C2D are dragging they can go alot higher with just "basic' aircooling so the C2D is alot better choice.
Core 2 Duo E6320 $163 Athlon 64 X2 5200+ $169
Core 2 Duo E4400 $133 Athlon 64 X2 4800+ $129
Core 2 Duo E4300 $113 Athlon 64 X2 4400+ $115
either way go with the E6320-->4mb cach or E4300 2mb cache
I would get the E4300 with a good cooler
