Where can I find a cheap version of 3Ds max?

I know the student version is $400. Is there anywhere cheaper?

i believe that $399 is as cheap as it comes as the student version *note to this, you will have to pay for updates, they aren't free like they are with the $4k version.

Dam, you have to pay for updates such as 5.1 on the student version?!?!!

Other than that, is there a difference between sudent\professional?

no other difference except that you don't get customer support or updates, just consider it a really cheap oem version.

eBay. The place to buy things people don't need anymore. If you find one you can pay with PayPal then it's insured if you pay over £100 (Well it is in the UK) and also most sellers offer some sort of insurance when paying over £100 for items.

LOL legal to sell software on eBay? You can get away with selling anything on eBay. But yeah normally things like games are no problem. Professional software is also sold but it is up to the buyer to check if it has all the required discs, documents and licences by contacting the seller. Most of the stuff is second hand but there are also companies selling brand new things at cheaper prices.

You should see what you can sell on there. Houses, Real Estate, Cars, Antiques, Other Vehicles and many other things are sold there. Basically there is nothing you can't buy off there, except countries (well yet anyway). I have used it to buy many things such as computer and console game and even a games console for around the quater of the retail price, it was missing the leads but i already had them.
