Now then, in PC games, when you install them, you get a language selection. For the English selection, most of them say 'US' in brackets.
But it got me thinking, why dont they translate it to a UK version of it?
I know there are only minor differences in the spelling, but going that extra-mile will please some people.

Because someone will mistakenly install the wrong language and complain when the see it spelled "armour" and "colour".
And of course there are different pronunciations for some words as well. Lieutenant is pronounced "lef-tenant", for example. (A Lieu in Britain is not a place you'd want to be a Tenant)

Chaucer (usually The Canterbury Tales) is mandatory reading for most high schools in the US. The thing about him is that he wrote before there were any standardized spellings of words. That means he ended up like this:
This frere bosteth that he knoweth helle,
And God it woot, that it is litel wonder;
Freres and feendes been but lyte asonder.
For, pardee, ye han ofte tyme herd telle
How that a frere ravyshed was to helle
In spirit ones by a visioun;
which means:
This friar boasts that he knows hell,
And God knows that it is little wonder;
Friars and fiends are seldom far apart.
For, by God, you have ofttimes heard tell
How a ravished friar went to hell
In spirit, once by a vision;
And we have to read this and write papers on it.

Please explain how you came to the conclusion that I cannot "use grammar".
Is it because I didn't use a capital N?
Either way the fact that you seem to be of low intelligence has little to do with my grammatical ability so no, I really don't see the irony there, but maybe that is just my lack of knowledge on grammar causing me problems.
If your comment was directed at Ironballs then feel free to congratulate yourself on a well thought out comeback

That is one of the wittiest replies I have seen in a long time on here. To be honest most of the changes aren't THAT fundamental at all as they are just colloquialisms. Some phrases will sound odd though from either side despite the fact they still make sense.
I would like to see a Cockney Rhyming Slang option though as it really would be funny to see.
