I was running WIN FDS perfectly fine until recently. It seems there is some kind of connection situation (socket error).

I noticed it first with BRenBot didn't respond to commands anymore, and I noticed it also with the WIN FDS when I was told that people were getting "Negotiating port with server..", then timing out.

So I reinstalled everything, problem still existed. I noticed in the BRenBot console, it said: "server: error 11004 creating socket: Unknown error".

I was quite baffled by such an error because I have changed nothing with my connection and my settings are fine because I reinstalled then used my perfectly good backup configurations.

Anyone enlighten me on this situation?

Error 11004 usually occurs when a firewall is blocking attempts to resolve DNS addresses.
