Here it comes: http://en.rian.ru/russia/20070327/62697703.html
website | MOSCOW, March 27 (RIA Novosti) - Russian military intelligence services are reporting a flurry of activity by U.S. Armed Forces near Iran's borders, a high-ranking security source said Tuesday.
"The latest military intelligence data point to heightened U.S. military preparations for both an air and ground operation against Iran," the official said, adding that the Pentagon has probably not yet made a final decision as to when an attack will be launched.
He said the Pentagon is looking for a way to deliver a strike against Iran "that would enable the Americans to bring the country to its knees at minimal cost."
He also said the U.S. Naval presence in the Persian Gulf has for the first time in the past four years reached the level that existed shortly before the invasion of Iraq in March 2003.
Col.-Gen. Leonid Ivashov, vice president of the Academy of Geopolitical Sciences, said last week that the Pentagon is planning to deliver a massive air strike on Iran's military infrastructure in the near future.
A new U.S. carrier battle group has been dispatched to the Gulf.
The USS John C. Stennis, with a crew of 3,200 and around 80 fixed-wing aircraft, including F/A-18 Hornet and Superhornet fighter-bombers, eight support ships and four nuclear submarines are heading for the Gulf, where a similar group led by the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower has been deployed since December 2006.
The U.S. is also sending Patriot anti-missile systems to the region.

The USA won't rush in it has been proven in the past that it doesn't work ( Guerillia wars) bassicly whats happening in Iraq now. The only thing that thele do is bomb the nuke plants with strategic missiles. And maybe kill that lunatic?. It's not like they would stand a chance in raw firepower anyways.. but the thing is the war is getting bigger by then and who knows where it ends.
(If they dont destroy the plants -> its still going the same way I think.
Vote 2.

I think it's about time that monkey died.
Like I said before, Iran is using the hostages as bargaining chips.
Yesterday, they said that if the UK freezes relations, it will delay their release.
Today, they say that the UK must withdraw their troops from Iraq.

There is NO British screwup regarding the exact location of the incident. It happened in Iraqi waters and they were "ambushed" by the Iranians.
It's their Grand Asstolla Big Man ordering shit to happen. I hope they pay the price.

WTF are they doing without military backup, even in Iraqi waters? It's not as if you're going to do some sports fishing.
I feel that the Easter lcocks are gonna drop a lot of eggs on Iran. Well, it may last a bit longer but sooner or later it's gonna go KABOOMY.

Reminds me of the GLA mission briefings in Generals and Zero Hour.
Tbh a conflict between Iran and "the West" (I mean the USA, the UK and Israel by that) has basically been waiting to happen, but I figured it'd be Israel and Iran to kick off the rumble (either Iran carrying out their threat to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, but there's no reason to believe they meant that since they lie about everything else, nor is there any reason to be concerned about the fact that "you won't let us into some areas in your palace, Kim Jong-Il" or w/e the line in Team America was... OR Israel pre-emptively striking Iran after numerous threats)
Well, whatever. I wish I knew why Tony Blair is being so damn unassertive. Were I the Prime Minister, it'd be a simple "Lie to your own people all you like, but you've got a day to return all fifteen to us safe and sound, otherwise you and I are gonna fall out."

Seriously it's been an ongoing game of humiliation between Washington and Tehran for I don't know how many years now, war isn't likely going to happen. As a matter of fact the only reason they're "mad" right now is because you included them in your now famous "axis of evil".
Do I need to remind you that Iran, along with several nations condemned the 9/11 terror attacks?
War isn't likely.

Iran is trying to pretend that they're being "humanitarian" in releasing the British sailors. Obviously, there's no war in sight now, but their "reasons" are bullshit. Those who use this to look at Iran in a good light are gullible.

Yes, I agree!
