i want to host an 24/7 server but where is the best place to do this ??

The best place is on a dedicated server you rent. The cheapest place is aohost.co.uk probably. You always get what you pay for though.

As said: most of us rent directly at a data center. www.theplanet.com is a popular one in the US (US-based ofcourse). I see you're in Amsterdam, there's some good ones out there as well. http://www.leaseweb.com/ is one of them.

Do realise that for a dedicatd server in a data center, you'll pay about 100 € per month. What hosting companies like aohost do is rent a dedicated server but put multiple renegade servers on it, so you need to split performance with possible lag as result.

As said: depends what you're looking for.

Edit: other advantage of aohost and maybe neronhosting (donno them) is that they setup the server for you, so u don't need to worry about that.

About only 2: this game is over 5 years old...

I suggest in finding a cheap dedicated box to buy, Because you have FULL access, And you can do whatever the hell you want. Smile

Tho, If your looking to spend some cheap €€€ try looking at neronhost.com or aohost.co.uk.

aohost.co.uk has Remote Desktop access, Tho your server *will* lag at times.. Neronhost is done through FTP but hardly any lag. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet. Razz

Both hosts are cheap, Should check out there sites and see if you like there pricing.

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Well, here (somewhere near Arnhem, Dutch city) AOhost lags quite much, so I couldnt recommend that.

Just so you know... It is only recommended to buy a server through me if you can't afford to get a dedicated server ( $150+ for a decent one. )
