Pay attention kids, I'm only gonna show you these secrets once Thumbs Up

http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/6697/stealingapbvehiclesxp7.png

The final steps? Act like a total dickweed with a holier-than-thou attitude, accusing APB of copying your trademarked 'dual weapons' concept and possibly get yourself banned in the process.

Trust me. This is a proven method; my mod's 700 megs so I must be right, huh JeradGray? Big Ups

Further study: Final initial

Don't forget to get yourself some Street cred so that nobody will doubt you for a second that you're the modding master and couldn't possibly have been accused of stealing an AK47 just the week before!

Discuss please.

*giggles since his picture was used*

Seems to be a fad with A Path Beyond now. Steal things and claim them as your own. Nobody will ever find out if I paint it green or black and move things around!

(Edited so it's not turned into a flamefest.)

I'm sure i wouldnt even go through that much if i was already "stealing it" how about take it, then save it? lol.
Dual pistols i always had expected that atleast Tanya would have, and i would hate for someone to get accused of stealing an "idea". Also i am almost sure of it APB had always planned dual pistols but were just waiting on better setup/scripts etc.

Either way i don't think we need an entire topic on this, and only makes it more of a flame war as you kindy ask for it not to be lol. The Ak thing i dont know how jerad is involved anyways, as that model was found on a free 3d model hosting site and napalmic was the one who sent it to canadacdn so we just made a mistake.

They do look really similar. Especially the wheel textures.

If I remember correctly, NeoX was the first to make dual weapons work. It was for one of Genocide's mods.

Well, it's CJ's special time of the month again.

If you don't know what he's talking about, it's Jerad Grey's Ren-to-Halo mod.

Oh, and AR is having a Tanya, I heard. Must be stolen from APB if they use Tanya, right? Sarcasm

And I'm afraid you didn't come up with the Dual Wielding concept first.

Oh no Slik, that means they're evil. The only way to deal with them is, of course, make a topic full of flaming and uncalled for comments!

Because saying it nicely is naturally out of the question.

Just ask Chronojam here. Afterall, he does such a good job at it.

Pardon me, I had forgotton how seriously some people take the Internet. I totally neglected to think of the fact that stealing stuff on the Internet should be a crime punishable by death. After all, only complete lowlifes steal stuff on the internet. Who needs those kinda people?

Not funneh. Its the models and artistic licensing that are being disputed, not ideas. Stealing and butchering something then passing it off as your own work is wrong.

CJ isnt implying that APB came up with the concept. You should check JeradGrey's post on their forums and see. I'll put it here for referance.
JeradGrey

Looks like sometimes it just takes someone else to make something first before someone else will make the effort to copy into their own mod *cough*dual wielding*cough*.

You are correct, in later levels (after level 9a) I replace it with the actual rocket warthog. But unless there is a complaint I well leave this model on the older levels (Because I like the job that Ren Alert did on it).

Page 2 of his RenHalo mod.

He definetly claimed it as his own, didn't he Sarcasm

Besides, I'm quite certain he was parodying Chronojams constant bitching about everything being stolen from APB. So he posted that. If anything, I applaud him for doing it. It's rather annoying seeing CJ's constant whining (like this topic).

I bet none of the APB forumgoers read that because it didnt get brought up. Then again, not many of the APB forumgoers come here anyway on a regular basis. Meh, the amount of whining and 'holier than thou' comments that JeradGrey made was bound to lead to a topic like this anyway.

Yeah, they probobly didn't read it. Especially chronojam Sarcasm

And, when you go around whining about everything being stolen from ya, then someone is bound to say stuff like Jerad did.

Nobody's fighting here Thumbs Up I do see a moron who claims to have so many better things to do surfing a forum for a game he doesn't like, pretty cool. Next time try the Barbie Horse Adventures forum, I'm sure you'll be able to pick some awesome internet fights like you've always dreamed of.

PS: Cabal8616 do you mind linking me to all the threads here where somebody has stolen something from us? There's so many, you're always talking about them, I'm sure it won't take long to find at least eight.

Edit: The team has decided to make you a special offer since you're our special fan. Should you accept our offer, if you can find fifteen (15), we will make you full staff. If you cannot find this many, you have to drink bleach, donate $50, or request a ban.
