Ok heres my problem my video card keeps overheating my computer and a no matter what pc game it freezes and i have to restart the computer, my computer meets all of the requirements(i'm pretty sure) and this just started a week ago i got the video card like a month ago here's the video card here: http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/Product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online &category=Video+Cards&product=2513041
And i'll post my computer specs later.

does anyone have any tips to the fix the problem or to make it happen less that would not cost money.

Your fan probably broke. A fan costs something like 5 $ ? Replace it Razz.

If it's a tower case, and you have some room, remove the left hand side (as seen from the front) and then lay it on it's right hand side (as seen from the ftont).

Heat goes upwards.

yea i know my computer sucks with all the errors and other crappy stuff (stupid bill gates and microsoft Angry ) oh yea most of the time it's during halo but fan not broken like someone mentioned fan is all u can hear from the tower lol

You hear your cpu fan. The video card has its own fan normally.

I did specify your -chipset- sucked, VIA suck.

Now, have you tried what I said about laying it on it's side, or removing the side or something similar?

Yea i know that my video card does have it's own fan which I'm pretty sure runs fine i think it might be not enough power since 250V is all my computer has and for video card 250V is minimum

Put a normal fan on your pc while the side case is off? Razz

well technicly i have i have 3 fans actually in my computer one is a coolmaster fan other one is video card one and other one is a fan that shows on the outside.

Number one, dust is probably not a factor I had and inch of dust in my computer (seriously) I opened it up to put in a new graphics card and, well, it was dusty. I took a pressurized air can and blew it all out, and filled my kitchen with dust.

Does you computer always run jerky (like when you minimize or maximize a window dose in do this slow) and what resolution is it in?

If it is always running kind of jerky its possible that the graphics card drivers did not install correctly. Just try reinstalling them, but don't hold me responsible if something goes wrong and you have to do a system recovery.
