I just relized that Petroglyph was maded up of mostly westwood employes. So SWEAW is really (in employ enspereit) made by westwood. No wonder I thought I saw (some, not all) generals eliments in the game.

Random thoughts.

What if Petro is bought by Ea, meeting the same faith as westwood?

What if CNC3 was maded the the former WW employies? Rocked Over

EA has no interest in Petroglyph.

I don't think the same could be said about Sega (might take a few... Hundred years before they get the money, though) and Lucasarts.

I doubt Petroglyph will sell themselves to anybody. Most of them are the ones who felt Westwood was being sold out (which... I guess it literally was.) So it is more then likely they will have a strong desire to remain independent.

Yeah, that's old news, but what's new news is that at the end of January they announced a new RTS in the making. Read about it here:

Westwood didn't make Generals... And It really isn't all that like Generals.

Kind of ironic that Petroglyph is now going to be competing against a series that they started.
