I remember when this topic was common at the old Renegade forums; it would appear it hasn't surfaced in awhile since then - at least a couple months. I just finished my desktop overhaul with a new visual style and dock, and I was curious as to what others' desktops look like now...

General: http://aspenth.com/aspndesktopjune1.jpg

And these other two are just images of the dock in action...

It's a replica dock for Windows; docks are common on all Mac OS X systems. The one I have is the Y'Z Dock, which can be downloaded here.

In order for them to look as intended, you'll need to search for high quality PNG files to be the icons. One example is this one of mIRC. (I chose this one to show because for those of you who decide to download the dock, I know mIRC is a commonly used program here; it can be used at will)

http://www.aspenth.com/mirc.png

If you desire more, check the Neowin Forums. They have quite a collection in that thread.

How exactly do you take a pic of your desktop? Then where is it found?

Well you see that button called "Print Screen" or "SysRq" above the insert key on your keyboard, believe it or not it takes a screenshot of anything on the screen at the time your press it. Then go into a paint application and click "paste" or press Ctrl+V and watch the sccreen fill with the screen shot you took, save it as a compressed pictrue format such as the Joint Photographic Experts Group format (JPEG for short) and then upload it onto the internet using free webspace or a convinient website such as n00bstories image uploader.

I am not liable for any misuse of the "Print Screen" and/or the "SysRq" button on any keyboard. use it at your own risk, I am not liable for any damage caused by the use of this button and/or conent created.

Ah thanks. I knew about the print screen (I'm not THAT dumb) I just didn't realize that you had to paste it afterwards, I thought it got saved to a folder. So when that didn't work, I thought that maybe I was missing something that also needed to be done to take a pic.

Anyways, here's mine
