Not sure if this is a RenGuard or Renegade issue. I'm on a 56k connection. I used to be able to hold my own in games where the odds are against me with no problem. Now, I can't even play. I've got the CP2 patch installed, no mods, and only the maps that came with Renegade and the CP patch.

I get this message at least ten times. It finally stays on "Connection to server interrupted" for about a minute before I'm kicked.

There are times where I can play almost perfectly, but I suck in those games. It's usually snipers or CTF.

Ahh, Playing ren with 56K, The good ol' days. Thumbs Up

Make sure your not running msn/Limewire/torrent programs. (Well, I bet your not anyway)

Or it could be your ISP being gay, If it's still like that after 1/2 days, I would suggest doing a virus scan.

If it's non of them then i'm not sure. Dont Get It

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

No edit button, sorry.

Turning MSN off had no effect. Thanks for the information, though. On the bright side, I did get to play one normal game of C&C_Field...

Yeah, I recommend a virus scan.

Seems to me a virus is hogging your Internet BW.

Just forget it. I figure that if nothing is using my connection besides Renegade/Guard and it won't work, some sob out there is trying very hard to make me very mad.

Close everything you think is using the internet, open up command prompt and type "netstat -b" this will show you all your active connections and the exe's that started them. This will at least tell you if anything is connected that shouldn't be.
