If you can't seem to figure out how to edit an animated image in Image Ready, then you most likely need to make the animation toolbar visible.

Alex wrote on Mon, 15 January 2007 04:57 | Yea, It come's with Imageready, That makes .GIF's, As mero and Darkpwn3r said, you need ImageReady and the .psd.
|
You actually only need the GIF in order to edit it, ImageReady can be used to easily decompile an animation frame for frame (just as Dave Anderson mentioned). The PSD is good to have, but not required.
Just thought I'd clear that one up to minimize confusion.
|
ahh, Well I don't know much about PhotoShop, But a friend told me that the .PSD holds important info so I assumed you would need the .PSD.
Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Download the demo to Macromedia Fireworks. Go to the image you want on the interenet. Save it to your desktop. Open it up in fireworks. From there it will decompress it so you have full control over each frame.
I've done it several times with GIF images I found on the net. Normally I just add text on certain frames. Works quite well. You don't need the source.
