well sadly you need the original, and you need photoshop..thats the only way I can think of editing it..

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

You need the source, the .psd file in order to make it anamatronic.

ImageReady does the trick. If you have Photoshop 7.0 & later (from my experience) it should come with it by default.

Yea, It come's with Imageready, That makes .GIF's, As mero and Darkpwn3r said, you need ImageReady and the .psd.

The .psd is the "original" I was referring too!

If you can't seem to figure out how to edit an animated image in Image Ready, then you most likely need to make the animation toolbar visible.

Click: Window->Animation

You actually only need the GIF in order to edit it, ImageReady can be used to easily decompile an animation frame for frame (just as Dave Anderson mentioned). The PSD is good to have, but not required.
Just thought I'd clear that one up to minimize confusion. Rocked Over

ahh, Well I don't know much about PhotoShop, But a friend told me that the .PSD holds important info so I assumed you would need the .PSD. Blush

If no one's done it by the time I get my computer up and running again I'll make it for you.

I'd personally recomend Jasc Animation Shop 3. Million times easier to use than Imageready and perfectly tailored for this task.

Download the demo to Macromedia Fireworks. Go to the image you want on the interenet. Save it to your desktop. Open it up in fireworks. From there it will decompress it so you have full control over each frame.

I've done it several times with GIF images I found on the net. Normally I just add text on certain frames. Works quite well. You don't need the source.
