hello, i decided to start play renegade after a couple of years break 
But now i get into a server, any server, and ping starts to spike to like 9k after 5sec, and shortly after i gets disconnected.
Seeen several other posts on this and other forums about the issue and wonder if anyone could help me..
disabled firewalls and basicaly tried all the tricks in the book i can think off, no luck 
also, i looked in the log file afterwards, the stackdump thingy, and it has a line there reading:
Exception occured at 00550280 .text:00550280 (game2.exe)
The Renegade Client tried to read from address 6DF4A100 (No Owner)
anyone know what this might be, and if it is related to my problem?
