Oh, I thought I changed that, well I suppose I will fix it (The sad part about it is that I watched it twice for errors and I missed that one, although I was looking specifically for movie transition errors [like fades in the wrong spot and things like that]).
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I will that both criticism and compliments. It does effect the terrain, and I like you modified post, but the old one was much more amusing!
And yes it does light up the terrain, the terrain is snow so it gets very bright white (the flash light does kind of burn dark textures though)!

ah allright, i was afraid i accidently would trigger some idiot chatfight, wich i am not really interested in. So for the benefit of all of us, i edited it.
i second the above question btw, if you can do it, why didnt westwood do it in the first place? or is it emulated somehow?
[edit: just a typo, nothing to put on a sherlock-hat]

Will I think it was because none of the Westwood level are dark enough to need a flash light. And none of the units in CnC Gold used a flashlight.

Looks like its really comming along well. You should really think about releasing your scripts for flashlight as that is something i had intended to impliment to my own work but lack the experience in that area. Did you create all that stuff which you were showing with flashlight, cause that is by far alot more complex modeling then the other stuff. Either way the guns, the sounds, and the lighting is pretty cool. I love that countdown timer you got in the last vid, that's very much like a halo mission.
The only things i see far to much of is the high use of long tunnels for vehicles with not much purpose other then to drive straight through them. Alot of the texturing needs a lift, which i am sure you are already planning, just is boring to see a tunnel with all 4 sides the same texture etc. One thing i found annoying in halo was that darn sound when your health gets low o.O Other then a few minor flaws i think this has come a long ways, and i am glad to see others still working with this engine.

Here I will give you guys a real Christmas present, I will walk you through making the flash light, without my scripts!
It will be a little bit though, because I have to gather up my resources, like the 3d model you will need to get the light to point the right direction, and the cinematic you need to remove the light.
The count down timers took a lot of work, and the game doesn't actually know when the timer hits zero, you have to tell it with a timer script expiring (Keep in mine the count down timer itself is just 3D models, if it were to hit zero and the game not end it would hop up to 999 and start over).
