It sounds like they just tried to shut you up. If you don't do something about it, yeah ... you're fine for now ... but then the next guy has to worry about it. I'm not trying to egg you on, because I completely understand your situation and I'm happy for you. But the line has to be drawn somewhere, and if white people keep "tolerating" this kind of bullshit, its not going to get any better.
As for what PuddleSplasher said: "No individual shall be disadvantaged or looked upon less favourably due to race, colour, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age." He was being put at a disadvantage of not getting a job that he was more qualified for because of his race/color. The reason I screamed "DISCRIMINATION!" in my first post in this thread is, because all Affirmative Action is, is discriminating the discriminators. Two wrongs don't make a right. And to add on that, I honestly think that most people would agree (and even find statistics to back this up) that more blacks discriminate whites than whites discriminate blacks.
I was walking down the street with my fiancee about a month ago when an older black man ... who looked kinda shady (not because of his color, but because of the fact that he wasn't shaven and has a strange demeanor to him) started following us. I just blew it off and kept walking. But he continued to walk faster and chase up with us - so finally I told my fiancee that he could be trouble so slow down a bit and walk ahead of me in case he tries to pull some crap. When he caught up to us he was like "can I get a jump" (apparently for his car) and I told him that I was nowhere near my home or vehicle and that I couldn't help him. His response? A very agressive "Why are all you crackers around here so damn racist?!". Which is pretty damn racist in itself.
I think the discrimination problem has turned on the "working, able-bodied white man" and since we are numerically inferior these days not a damn things is being done about it. That is why I am so adamant about dealing with these kinds of things as they happen...

NO!!!!!!! There is no difference in a female anatomy wether she is black, white etc.
Same for men.
Therefore it makes no sense, nor is it logical to have the same coloured attendant for every colour of people.
By the sounds of it you might prefer to have everyone use their own areas.
Imagine going into a shop, looking for an assistant to ring up your purchase, not stopping until you get an assistant of your own race and colour. How many assistants are now needed. Separate checkouts etc.
YOU MY FRIEND probably are the RACIST. We are merely trying to understand and prevent the racial abuse that follows.
Sorry Dark, again for the hi-jack. Perhaps this is one for another topic. Should we tolerate Discrimination.
See you back in our server.

I am *EXTREMELY* discriminate against TYPES of people. I would argue that many people are. So if one race identifies with one of these traits a lot more than another, that makes me dislike them more than the other.
Another point, while I'm on the subject: if you look at crime statistics, education statistics, etc. and look at the actual facts - you will notice well-defined differences between a few ethnicities. Hell, when you look at any official crime statistic they break it down by race. Why would they bother doing that if there wasn't such a difference?
This just goes to show that some races are more STEREOTYPICALLY not as intelligent, more likely to comit crime, and more susceptible to certain illnesses. Though this does not mean that ALL persons of this ethnicity are going to fit this stereotype ... it does prove (by facts and history) that people have a valid reason to look at them differently because of their race.
To get to the point, I have had numerous black friends throughout my life. Not only did I grow up in the south burbs of Chicago where I (white people) was the minority, but I have served in the U.S. military where there is a very diverse spread of cultures. The reason I chose to be friends with the person who was black was the same reason I would be friends with anyone of any other race. However, generally speaking, I do not care for black people. Does that make me a racist? Or does that mean that I have come to a realization that "they" are more likely to comit a crime ... that they have illnesses that most humans do not have (such as sickle cell anemia) ... and that they are usually less intelligent? No - I do not think that makes me racist at all.
--If you are lazy, its your fault (because you choose to be).
--If you do not speak properly, its your fault (because you choose to speak like an idiot)
--If you don't make something of yourself and spend your life in the ghetto, its your fault (because you didn't pick yourself up)
--If you have 10 kids and can't support them, its your fault (because you're ignorant and selfish and have no responsibility)
If "racism" and its many faces of discrimination are going to change in this world ... we need to look past the "color" and see the source of the problem which is ultimately people fucking themselves over with poor decisions.
My conclusion (in relation to the topic)? Affirmative action *IS* discrimination and should not be tolerated. If a black person is more qualified ... give the damn job to them. If a hispanic is willing to work for less, fuck the white boy who thinks he's too good for that - because he's too lazy to accept such a humbling job. But regardless, when qualified candidates DO want to work and cannot ... that is blatant racism; and for the last 10 years or so it has come alive in the form of affirmative action and turned around on able-bodied white folks. And quite frankly, I'm fed up.

Uhh... since when does race make someone more likely to commit a crime? If you look at a city like Detroit and see that it's mostly black, and you see that it has a MUCH higher crime rate than a white community, you're not mistaken to assume that blacks DO commit more crimes, but it's all about the environment. Blacks, as opposed to whites, live in poverty stricken areas more than whites do.
I think it may be safe to say that blacks, in general, want more things handed to them and won't work to better themselves, but it's not a product of their race. It's clearly the result of conditioning from generations past. However, I'm not relieving blame for their actions.. but they aren't directly related to their race.
As for them being less intelligent... that's another product of their environment. A human is a human. Why are Asians better at math than Americans? Because of their culture. Why are more white people in corporate America? Because of their upbringing. The same goes for any race. It's not a product of their race, but a product of their environment. We all live in different environments, and we'll grow up differently because of that.
whoa.

Did you also figure in the percentage of those crime rates that were committed by poverty-stricken individuals? Did you figure in the amount of students living in poverty with those scores? You can't just look at one variable and form an opinion when there are multiple variables to figure in.
whoa.
