This is your best thread ever.
Anyway, you bring up a good question. Let's see. Using the magnifier to get a more precise look at targets. It's almost like using the sniper scope while being able to see normally as well.
Well, here are some points. The magnifier really only makes the image near the cursor larger. You're not actually getting some big advantage since it is large. But then again, you can use the magnifier to aim more accurately at the target.
I'm on the fence. I guess it's up to server owners, really.

The only weapons that it would really be of use would be the sniper rifles/ sbh/ laser chain gunner/ pistol/ and rave and PIC sydney. I might be missing one, but yeah, only with guns that shoot instantly might it be worth a "magnifier" And I'd be sure to guess that in practice it doesn't work so well with a lcg bh or sbh since by the time you aim they will have already warped away (Go renegade) The same would probably go for the pistol, but I don't know. The rave/pic might be useful since you have to rely on that one shot, but I don't know if you can bind a key to zoom the magnifier a certain bit without actually having to physically click it.
Oh, and yeah, since the weapon range is limited it really isn't that much of a difference if you zoom in since most likely you're going to be dealing with targets that are closer to you.

You serious?
you don't know how to get renegade in window mode?
|
Instead why not just answer the question.
Just go to your westwood folder under programs on your windows task bar. Click on ren then ren configure. I'm at work so I'm saying this from memory. I hope i got it right.

|
Yeah, it does. I play in my native res of 1440*900. However, the only problems it has is the Renegade logo being cut a little from the top in the menu. That's about it.

In the above one it shows both red and blue. Is he playing in a single person server, such as the mission maps or has he an unfair advantage in multi-player mode?
Just while we are on the topic of cheating.

There's a secret blue team everyone else was unaware of and only now has he ruined it for the few who knew about it
