I wanted to play renegade today, and all of a sudden i got a ping like 80-100 above norm and a lot of lag.. Huh
i seemed to have more lag than 80+ norm ping should cause. What i dont get is why the game loads at normal speed (fast) but then the lag hits right away ingame.. ive tampered with the graphics, closed all programs.
(the only thing i did different on the comp today was open bitcomet and start a torrent load, using BC for the 1st time.. ive closed it now)

Im currently looking for a program with which i can monitor my incomming and outgoing internet data. something that shows the ports. Although, my internet speed seems normal.. (6k dsl)

~btw: if i minimize renegade while it lags i get sometimes get kicked from gengaurd.. for cheating one time, and anothertime for attempting the "lan exploit".. < thats good.. haha

I hope someones had these problems Wink

Big chance something travelled along with what you downloaded with Bit comet. Tried a virus scan yet?

Also to manually watch which ports are open you could try CMD-> Net stat -o -n

a virus scan Viruscanner ofcourse not to forget.

Also it could be your ISP today it could be better tommorow.

It could be various of factors playing along but these might help.

Netlimiter will show you the outgoing and incoming connections, speeds, and ports. You can limit the amount of connections etc. with the program aswell.

I know quite a lot of people having problems with netlimiter.
