Yes, but it becomes someone else's country if it is taken over by another faction, correct? Or can it be considered that your birth country is your "country" no matter who controls it?

My country is the democracy and what the nation stands for. If it is corrupted or has poor leadership that is the fault of the government which is not necessarily the same thing as "my country".
Governments change all the time, but I think the consistant fighting is over whose government is in the best interest of "the nation" which I guess is technically only a matter of opinion.
