I would just get a 98 but I don't like how the up and down keys are connected like they are...
Or is there a different version where the keys are not connected.
YEAY FOR FIREFOX SPELL CHECKER!

Depends on what math you are taking and/or what grade you are in.
If you are taking Geometry, Algebra 2, Analysis (pre-calc) or basic Calc, go for a TI-84 (83 is the same thing, just an 84 is a newer version.) Also, many math courses in the above subjects often cover using many of the features in the TI-84/83.
A TI-85 has a lot of nifty features, many of which you will not use for the above courses, so you will not find is as useful as a TI-84.
A TI-89 and up will do Algebra for you, thusly teachers may now allow it and consider it "cheating," as they do in my school, and on the SAT's.

How is it cheating if you are smart enough to use a device to do the math for you? I guess the pour people would be fucked lol!
I want it to play games in math so it looks like I am working but I am really having fun!

See, math classes are still based on the assumption that once folks get out in the real world, people will always use a pen and paper rather than a calculator to solve complex math problems. Sadly, the real world doesn't agree.
I've had a TI-83 since I was a frosh in HS; it has served me well (even though it hasn't seen any action since junior year and I'm now a college sophomore) and never crapped out in the middle of something important. I guess it's the TI-84 now, but it's a solid design with enough features that- unless you're doing some seriously heavy-duty advanced mathematics- you shouldn't need anything else.
If you need a scientific calculator to use for tests and don't already have one (most math classes won't allow you to use the graphing calculator, as others here have said), I recommend the TI-30.

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.

By far, the TI-89 Titanium uses the latest Advanced Mathematical Software (AMS) at version 3.10 and is probably the best one you can get but its a bit more expensive than the rest of the calculators Texas Instruments has released. Go to www.ticalc.org for much much more information.
Oh and for games, try to get the TI-89 instead of Titanium, though its software is older. The Titanium kinda screws up for some ASM games that were written for the TI-89. If you want to get a Titanium, just use TIGCC 0.96 to recompile the sources of the games to make them compatible with the TI-89 Ti. I recompiled a version of Realtime Command To Conquer (Calc clone of C&C) and it works with grayscale.

Don't come back here bitching about wasting your money when your math teacher yells at you, or tells you you can't use a TI-92.
You can get plenty of games for the TI-83/84, most of them only requiring 1 finger to play, so it's not blatantly obvious that you are playing games in math class.

As NukeIt15 said, Math classes assume you will never have a calculator with you in real life, so you have to do all the math by hand. So in class some teachers will require you to not only get the answer, but show the work you did to get it.

Sure C&C on your calculator would be great, but when you get called on to answer a problem and you shout out "CRAP! GOTTA KILL THIS TANK!!" you're gonna find yourself up shit creek. Not only that, but when you are using your calculator for 30 minutes straight, it's pretty obvious you're not doing math anymore. As much as you'd like to think teachers are stupid, they really aren't.
If you wanna play C&C, use a computer, not a calculator.

Totally. I have a TI-83 and I'm a senior in HS in AP Calc. I still use it for tons of stuff, and I've had it since I was a freshy. If you learn how to program, it can do tons of good stuff for you. (I've made programs for Geometry, Interest, and Sequences, most of them being bigger than some games I have. I've also made completely useless programs that look like Matrix code.. )
TI-83/84 definately better for your (Viking's) level of math.
Also, almost forgot, when going for a TI-83/84 always get the Silver edition... Has more memory and some nifty apps.

Dude? How the fu*k would I play C&C on a calculator?
My teacher has to let us use them on everything I am in a speical class lol! I am ADD!
We were learning about if a number is "rational, or irrational"
WHEN THE FUCKING MOTHER HELL AM I GOING TO NEED TO KNOW THAT FOR ANYTHING!! I ASKED HER AND SHE SAID "I don't know, I just need to teach you to pass the finals!"
SCHOOL TEACHES YOU SHIT! I HAVE LEARNED MORE IN MY 2 OR SO YEARS ON THESE FORUMS THEN I EVER DID AT SCHOOL!

Oddly enough, my teacher had a 10 minute conversation today about how the stuff you learn now will be applied around 200 years later so it's not as useless as you think I just learned that imaginary numbers make my life a lot easer =D
