I've tested the memory and found nothing erroring with it, and everything else runs correctly, but Renegade now crashes after a half-hour or so with a crashdump message of
"Exception occured at xxxx .text:xxxx (game2.exe)
The Renegade Client tried to write to address xxxx .text:xxxx (game2.exe)"
There is much more in the dump file, but this is the section that changes with each writing. I'm going to reinstall Renegade, the patches, and the Renguard client and cp2 later, but if there is a quick fix I can use before this, I would be happy to know of it.
Thanks for perusing this...

Actually, it is all one brand, and I ran a test on it, to see if the memory had any errors, but the test passed it as fine. Renegade is the only program that is crashing on me. It crashes after awhile, even when running practice mode. I'm going to look for video card issues as well...

Me neither, but I read halflife had the same problem when you
have more than 4 gig of ram but they fixed it.
However, I think in this case it's a third party tool, like
renguard or custom scripts.dll, which causes Renegade to crash.
When people ask me "Plz" just because it's shorter than "Please" I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because it's shorter then "Yes"
