I am still waiting for some on to give me an address to a sight to upload my finished mods so people can download them.

Also my newest mod scripts do require the download of the CPU scripts files, just follow the instructions to install them (The CPU scripts work along side with Jonathan Wilson's [JFW] scripts). I will now give a link to a sight where you can download the CPU SCRIPTS files:

Reborn is really busy, so he might not see this for ages, but if you join irc.fan-maps.net using mirc, then message the user (I) I can then message reborn or an other person who can provide you a ftp account to upload your mods, then they be hosted on the

Looks pretty good now, i would like to see videos though cause it can show alot more then pictures may. I hate to point out things, but the grass/rock textures seem to tile really bad in some areas, are you sure you did uvw as "box" and atleast 5x5x5 for all areas.

Other then that you have come a long ways, and it appears to have a ton of good gameplay which seems well thought.

Its level 1 which DOES come before all the other levels (It was made first so it IS the worst).

I have Long since lost the Renx model for level 1 and don't really want to mess with it (With all the hard work of importing it through w3d importer, that could take hours [sarcasm intended I could get it done in a few minutes]).

Nice jet Thumbs Up I can't tell: did you make the jet or did you take it out of another game/mod?

I took it from Renegade, but once I was done with it it was pretty much all my own work.

I've got a question, does any one know where I can find a free movie program that can record what is on the computer screen (that way I could make a few demo movies for my Halo mod).

Yeah, fraps.

It works great, the only problem is my little 30 second trailer(actually I made 5) are 200MB-400MB, I am doing some major compressing, but you will need a program that can uncompress .rar type files and extract it onto you computer to view 30 seconds. I will give you a link to the free zip manager I am using, so you will also be able to extract rar files:

Ermm... you need to compress the video files into a smaller bit rate, not zip them. Since already I can tell you have no video editing knowledge, just open windows movie maker and compress the videos at a bit rate like 1.5mbps.

Who said I have Windows Movie Maker?
Actually I do, I was just going to record the movie in screen size 640x480 and have the recorded set to half size, but your idea is better.
But in my defense it did take 20MB off of the file when I compressed it.

Why did you rip APB's Ranger?

Because at the time I did not have access to halo's models (if this is going to be a problem I will hold my MOD back a few weeks while I make my own warthog). I also thought it looked good, and its not an exact copy I had to change a lot to get it to work (back gun, back seat, removed some stuff, changed the textures, etc).

Compressing the video to a proper lower bit rate would make a 30 second video weigh something like 2mb. Zipping video files is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY useless. Don't do it. I knew you had Windows Movie Maker because every copy of Windows XP has it already.

And make SURE you record at half-size, not full-size. You need a 10,000 RPM hard drive for full-size if you're running the game at 1024x768.

I've found that WMM (the only software I know how to use; VDub confuses me) makes my half-size (from full at 1024x768, 25 fps) fraps vids look only slightly better at 1.5 or 1.0 Mbps compared to 768Kbps. The only reason you'd need the Mbps bitrates (and therefore increased filesize) is if you have chat text that needs to be legible, which I doubt is the case for you at this point. Also note that if you use a bitrate of 768kbps or higher, WMM changes the resolution to 800x600, and for me (since my original resolution is 512x384), it actually makes some features more visible, but a bit blurrier. As for file compression, .rar or even .7z ultra compression don't really make much of a difference after you compress your videos, as they'll only take off a couple MB at most. You can also use features in the timeline area and menu to splice clips or parts of clips together, and then make 1 large trailer.

I like to use 1.7mbps or higher. I think lower than even 1.5mps is ugly as hell. It probably doesn't bother you, but I'm an artist and I don't like it when my videos lose a certain amount of quality.

Also, you can still export a video in movie maker to 1.5mpbs at 640x480. I've done it numerous times when I was a newbie.

Unfortunately I have already completed it, its settings were:
index.php?t=getfile&id=2018&private=0
And it can be downloaded at:
http://files.filefront.com/Renhalo_Trailer_Level_5awmv/;6171297;;/fileinfo.html
It is 3.39 minutes long and is downloaded from file planet.
If you need it in a worse format just tell me and I well make a degraded copy.

Er... apparently my vids are 640x480 through the default preset bitrate setting, I just must have remembered it wrong >.< Anyway, I don't see how 1.7Mbps works when compressing a Fraps vid, because the raw files are 1411kbps according to the file properties. Can you actually increase the bitrate when converting from .avi to .wmv?
