Would someone be willing to make a short movie for me?

I am looking for something like a trailer, similar to the style of APB and Reborn trailers that have recently been released.

I have a test server up and running and have a different game mode on it. The server is stable and gone through quite allot of internal testing. I am ready for people to start playing there now, but to mark it's launch and create some interest in it I would like this short movie.

It must include the mode features and the style of play common on the server, along with tactics and a little bit of flair.

If you are handy with this sort of thing and can spare me some time then I would appreciate it allot. In Love

Fraps + Windows Movie maker.

Quite easy, tbh. Smile

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Quite easy to suck really bad, you mean. If anyone wants to make a decent video, use real software.

yea, movie maker sucks... Get what I use Camtasia Studio 3

It is a good one. It even has its own screen recorder, so you wont even need fraps!

If your looking to make a good video heres what Ive found: Fraps sucks hard - Gamecam is whats up. Fraps gives me lag - Gamecam doesn't. Moviemaker sucks, use something real like Adobe Premier Pro1 1.5 or Vegas Video. Not to mention your ganna need someone who can navigate one of those programs nicely.

EDIT: Ive tried recording Renegade with Camtasia. No-just, no.

Fraps is pretty much the best you can go with... unless the game has its own built-in method of recording. I don't get why people complain that Fraps lags. It lags because your computer sucks. Any recording software that works by capturing frames will pull really hard on your computer. If you want 25 FPS at least in Renegade while using Fraps, you're going to have to record on a relatively fast computer.

As for software... Premiere, yes, it's good (but you should be paying for it). Vegas, pretty simple but I'd recommend it I guess. Pinnacle, nooo. Camtasia, NO.

Some free things I really like include Avisynth and VirtualDub. But people who only understand the lowest common dominator of video editing would be dumbfounded if they tried to understand those two.

I have dual core and 1500+ mb's of RAM and plenty of space so i'm all good.

Me and Reborn went over the layout of the mod and it's pretty good so-far, we just need players so once we have a date, we need as many people in as possible for advertising purposes.

Yea, But if you have some real nice PS skills, you can make the tital yourself and use WMM for the ending creadits, Unless you want to take some time Learning to use complicated Video editing softwere, Tho it would be nice to be able to use a better program. Smile

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

(Sorry for double post)

Yea, Frap's lagged real badly on my old Graphics card, Since I got my Gfx card upgrade, Fraps never lag's, I think it's just your Fps that drops when you use fraps.

If you want to get someone to make a trailer for you, you need to get them to prove they are good at video making.

Or you can have a competition for places in the movie creation?

I appreciate the other offers of help, however the merovingian has very kindly agreed to make the movie for me. He may appreciate offers of help, i do not know.

One way to help would be to populate the server when he is ready to make the film. I am proposing Thursday 6.00pm GMT for anyone who wants to check out the game mode and also be famous forever and ever in the merovingian's movie Razz

Server host name is renz0rdm2

I'll be using Cubase SX for the editing and production of the movie. I've been using it for about 3 years now and know it from top to bottom. It's also very easy to add music tracks to it (since it's mainly a music editing/production program). It also comes with a few good transitions and people make new ones everyday. Thumbs Up

So you just want players in the server, nothing more?
