Yes!!! Guitar Hero 2 is finally coming out!

Did anyone ever play the first game? If so/not, are you getting 2? I was pretty good at it. I even started learning bass.

The new road map:

-----------------------------

1. Opening Licks

Mötley Crüe - Shout at the Devil
Danzig - Mother
Cheap Trick - Surrender
Wolfmother - Woman
Spinal Tap - Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight

2. Amp-Warmers

KISS - Strutter
Nirvana - Heart-Shaped Box
The Police - Message in a Bottle
Van Halen - You Really Got Me
Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son

3. String-Snappers

Foo Fighters - Monkey Wrench
Alice in Chains - Them Bones
Iggy Pop and The Stooges - Search and Destroy
The Pretenders - Tattooed Love Boys
Black Sabbath - War Pigs

4. Thrash and Burn

Warrant - Cherry Pie
Butthole Surfers - Who Was in My Room Last Night?
Matthew Sweet - Girlfriend
The Rolling Stones - Can't You Hear Me Knocking
Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine

5. Return of the Shred

Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name
Primus - John the Fisherman
The Sword - Freya
Thin Lizzy - Bad Reputation
Aerosmith - Last Child

6. Relentless Riffs

Heart - Crazy on You
Stone Temple Pilots - Trippin' On a Hole in a Paper Heart
Stray Cats - Rock This Town
The Allman Brothers Band - Jessica
Jane's Addiction - Stop!

7. Furious Fretwork

Anthrax - Madhouse
The Living End - Carry Me Home
Lamb of God - Laid to Rest
The Reverend Horton Heat - Psychobilly Freakout
Rush - YYZ

8. Face-Melters

Avenged Sevenfold - Beast and the Harlot
Suicidal Tendencies - Institutionalized
Dick Dale - Misirlou
Megadeth - Hangar 18
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird
--------------------------------

Know any of these? I'll admit I haven't heard of several. Freebird, MAN that's gonna be a challenge. I'm gonna need about 12 cases of RockStar for that one.

I'm also looking forward to Stone Temple Pilots and Rush, too.

...grr, I wanted Panama by Van Halen, not You Really Got Me...

The official game site.

The developer's site, which offers more crap than that which is available at chain stores.

Actually...

The General Renegade Chat forum was designed for topics RELATING TO RENEGADE IN GENERAL.

This has nothing to do with Renegade, ergo, it was slapped with an OT tag and dumped in the Politics section along with 90% of the site's irrelevant topics.

EDIT: Huh? The subtext under "General Chat" used to read "General discussions regarding Renegade", did it not?

Oh, well. If anyone cares, move away.

Ooh shit.

And for some reason I was concerned that the 2nd Guitar Hero wouldn't have any good songs. Boy was I wrong.

Understatement of the year. http://www.renegadeforums.com/images/message_icons/icon10.gif

Since you're going to be able to play Lead rhythm, AND bass, Primus is going to be hell to play.

Guitar Hero 1 has Megadeth's Symphony of Destruction, which is one of my favorite songs.

PS: Adult Swim fans, rejoice!

Hanger 18 has a different feel to it than Symphony of Destruction, so you know. And yeah, Megadeth is the shit. I would bow down to Dave Mustaine any day. Big Ups

About the only thing that would make me even vaugely interested in Guitar Hero is if they added some AC/DC.

I just bought Guitar Hero today. I've been playing it so much at college and now that I am home I got to buy it! I really like the song selection from the first one better than the second one unfortunately... :/ Wholly cow I play More than a Feeling non stop. I bug other people who play with me because I play that so much. Suuuch a good song.

You weren't kidding. Hangar 18 is one of my favorite songs, now. Challenging, but playable (for the game, anyway).
