Thought I'd pass this great little program on, it's free too.

Just be dragging sliders you can create some really nice seamless wood textures.

All the wood in this scene i'm working on is made using it I really do recommend this program.

why not just use real photos instead lol. Nothing beats a high resolution image of wood as is, Although it can be tricky finding the picture, or taking them yourself so thats probably why alot of people prefer drawing details over using real imagary.
