Where do people get the original Renegade skins so that they can make their own skins for models like soldiers and vehicles? I see tons of custom skins, but I can't find out where people get the originals so that they can customize them.

you have them already, the always.dat, always2.dat and some maps contain .dds files, these are the skins/textures. To get your hands on the files you would need a tool like xcc mixer to open the always.dat.

Actually, I was coming back to see if I couldn't delete this topic, because I already opened always.dat with RenegadeEx and did what I wanted to do.
