We have suffered two DDoS attacks this week. I have no idea who is behind them. I hope the attacker realizes that when they attack these forums, they affect several other users on this box, such as RenGuard.com, apathbeyond.com, the BlackIntel website, and any other BHS-hosted site. You also affect most of my personal sites like my blog and my poker website, but I'm sure you don't care about those.

Anyway, please leave the others out of it, and in fact, why don't you come talk to me about our differences instead of sending an attack that my ISP stops within a few minutes?

I'm the bawss.

lol, these losers think they are ace by doing it.

and i would think by now (after all the attacking going on) you would have sufficient protection against DDOS attacks, the person doing it is too stupid not to know that.

I know a good bunch of you have jumped to the conclusion that the recent ddos attack on Renegadeforums.com was me.

It was not. It was not me, it was not my idea, it was not done at my command, it was not done with my help. I didn't do it and I don't know who did.

Believe me or not, as you will.

I'm thinking I might have to locate another hosting option for the sites I host. They don't deserve to suffer this mess. At least between my box tweaks and ThePlanet's DDoS mitigation, we are still here. I'm doing the best I can to keep service up for you guys.

BlackIntel, I'm very sorry that this happened just as I started hosting you. I've had a couple years without problems and I never would have offered to host you if I knew this was going to happen. Just ask the APB guys.

If you have any extra cash lying around, I'd suggest getting a server at Gigeservers or Staminus (Gigeservers if you can justify paying a bit extra). Both have excellent DDoS mitigation. ThePlanet's is decent, but you can still tell when the forums are getting hit.

Well, I told them it wasn't working and they tweaked some stuff. I also tweaked some network settings and Apache settings on the box to improve response. I think we're good now.

I'm the bawss.

Well, you two seem to have such witty retorts about people, yet show complete ignorance.

Once you have an IP, it's not hard to find out where it's coming from or what it belongs to. Plenty of whois sites allows you to figure out this information.

whoa.

Please get back to the topic guys...
