Renegade Frozen help [message #220460]

everytime i quit renegades and try to go back to window the computer will freeze on me and i have to turn computer off at thje wall cause ctrl+alt+delete dont work please help

Instead of closing renegade with it's quit button, go to the main menu (Exiting any servers you are in), then press alt-tab to minimise renegade. Then you can open task manager with alt-ctrl-delete and close renegade from there.

Also if you use RG if you alt-tab to the RG window and just close that it will also close renegade.

You can also hit F8 and type "exit" and renegade will clsoe instantly.

Also when its "frozen", you will find that if you wait 1-2 mins it will finally die and return your desktop

If you are running renguard you can also alt-tab and close renguard and it will close renegade for you Smile

Not always, i've waited 10-15 mins sometimes and it's not returned.

I also find bashing Esc a few times usually fixes it for me.

does windowed mode not make it run really slowly for you? When I use windowed mode it takes twice as long to respond to key presses / mouse movements etc and the graphics are sluggish...
