II'll give you a heads up. People will probably need far more information than this if you want quick results.

With all that you've given, don't expect a quick fix as people have to guess what FDS you have, and what the exact problem is.

yeah i dloaded fds of my friends site and i sont kno wat it is all i kno is he created a serv off of it
but i downloaded it and he told me to change a few things in a file server.ini
i changed those things and now i cant get it running
wen it dloaded it made n icon on my desktop and wen i click that icon it sais:
logging into westwood online
logged in succesfully
conecting to usa server
connected
creating game channel...
failed to create channel
creating game channel...
failed to create channel
creating game channel...
failed to create channel
creating game channel...
failed to create channel

and thats wat it ses (approximately)

so i cant figure out wat i did

if you have any idea wat im talkin about and u have an idea of how to fix it that would be nice

either the name your trying to use is in use, or its registered to someone else and your using the wrong password. Also make sure you have a valid serial for it.

Yes, either your nickname is not registerd or in use by another player, check the password is correct to the nickname and check the serial is valid (use Renegades one, it works just the same).

Check over the renrem settings too, configure to the regualtor you will be using.

This is a copy of my server.ini, which does work. I have blanked out (with wildcards) the personal info regarding my serial, pass, etc etc.

Port =0
GameSpyGamePort = 0
GameSpyQueryPort = 0
BandwidthUp =750000
NetUpdateRate =10
AllowRemoteAdmin =True
RemoteAdminPassword =renegade
RemoteAdminIP =127.0.0.1
RemoteAdminPort =4848

Try editing some of that and using it in your server.ini.

If you say "fds thing" and put a title like that. I think you shouldnt use the Renegade FDS. That problem happens when either of the following happen.

1) Bad nickname
2) Bad Password
3) Serial
