Rengaurd couldn't find my WOL name. [message #215261]

Recruit

Rengaurd couldn't find my WOL name and I could never get to the point in Renegade to login before I installed Rengaurd.

Here is what scrolls by in the Rengaurd Box.

[02:43] Warning. No WOL Name found. Connecting to WOL will probobly fail
[02:43] Trying to connect to server #1...Connected
[02:43] Secure link established.
[02:43] Welcome to RenGuard !
[02:43] To launch Renegade, please click 'Renegade'.
[02:43] Disconnected from RenGuard network

Please help... I have been trying to get Rengaurd to work after reinstalling all my Command and Conquer games from Command and Conquer: The First Decade. I do have the core patch installed and everything is up to date. My computer runs Windows XP and it is up to date.

isn't this because rengaurd only get the WOL name once you log in?

(logging in is pretty hard since XWIS is down)

Moding can be real Fun...

I sure hope it's not reqired to log into WOL before installing Rengaurd because it took me several instals to figure out how to get things to this point as it is and I would rather not have to do a reinstall again. Oh, my name in Renegade is FoxURA.

YES!!!! Gamespy worked!!! I can play Renegade again!!!

Now if only I can remember where I got the maps I had...

Just ignore it and log into WOL as normal, then you can quit out and restart RG and it will then see your WOL name. I realize this isn't optimal...RG 1.04 will detect your wol name on the fly.
