For years I have thought the brotherhood of Nod was just that, "Nod". Being that GDI is short for Global Defence Initiative, and Nod isn't short for anything, it's just Nod.

However I noticed this today whilst reinstalling tiberian sun on a new hard drive..

see attatched.

Please discuss and add various other "proof" of the correct way to type Nod/NOD.

They use both Nod and NOD in the games. Since it's not an acronym though it seems more likely that "NOD" is just a typo.

There are several conflicts of information like this, i.e. "CABAL" and "CABAAL".

On the Tib Sun CD's, it's also spelled NOD. In other words: ACK got owned?

You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

"Disc" is also capitalized.

No, it's not an acronym. I don't see why that's hard to understand.

With CABAL, you can count the hyphenated term as one or two separate letters. But I think the majority of Tiberian Sun/Firestorm has it as CABAL.

Whom I just defeated as Nod, by the way. Gonna attempt GDI tomorrow.

I really wish some people would come to realise that. (Not just ACK)

When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself,
First as a dark demon,
As a demon it uses its power to reign death upon the land;
and then it dies.

However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns.
This time as a great hero...

Wow. Welcome to ten years ago.

Maybe they got the idea from the scrolling text at the beginning of Star Wars. It's not the Death Star, it's THE DEATH STAR!

Actually, I really hope someone from Westwood goes on record revealing that they stole the capital letters from Star Wars, along with the Mammoth Mk II. Big Ups

In the missions, (M11 to be specific) one of the announcements throughout the temple say
m11dsgn_dsgn0091i1evac_snd.wav

Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform Damaged, Please shutdown all non-essential operations

which would lead to belive it's actually "CABAL" and not "CABAAL".

The sound file to proove: m11dsgn_dsgn0091i1evac_snd.wav

That screenshot is obviously a news feed. How does GDI or it's friendly media know how Nod is REALLY suppose TO be CAPITALIZED? For ALL we KNOW they ASSUME Nod is NOD because THEY assume THAT like GDI it IS an ACRONYM, when IN reality IT is NOT.
