im not banned but have a question, i somtimes play renegade with someone on a lan(both of us on the internet) what would happen if i wasn't running regaurd with lets say the big head cheat. at the same time the person over the lan was running rengaurd and playing fair in a server. if somone RG'ed me it would say i am running rengaurd?

would i get banned from RG?

If you were using different nicknames you'd be fine.

The Lan Exploit involves PC1 running RG and logging in as you, then PC2 running non-RGed Renegade with the same nickname.

RenGuard regularly says it has detected the Lan Exploit. It hasn't, it's a false positive.

If you haven't been attempting to lan exploit then you have nothing to worry about.

Viva la Resistance!
also, whenever we play renegade on the same lan as each other, wll both be running renguard on both pcs yet one pcs renguard is never detected in-game.

why is this?

Make sure the name you're playing on is the same name that RenGuard greets when you open it up.

i knew i should have mentioned that it is the same name renguard greets me with.

it's just that if two computers in the same lan run renguard with different nicks, it dosnt seem to work on one of them but does on the other.

Not true. I can do it fine with several people on my IP.

Same for me as well.. Me and my brother have both used Renguard for about a year with no problems like that..
