Hey, this is abit off topic but you know how Windows Xp when first is loaded onto a computer has a standard Administrator account. The first user you create after that, has to be another account with admin status, but it will not let me deleat that account after i made it, does anyone know how i could deleat it? If its not possible, does anyone know how to make windows automaticly log you on onto a cirtain account when it starts up.

Thanks for any help !

Every computer with Windows XP installed on it will have an original account called "Administrator". This account cannot be deleted because if something happens to your other accounts, it is the account you will use to administrate Windows. (If I am wrong, tell me, but I don't think I am.)

I would take the rights to the folder you want to delete (be in administrator) then, use this little nifty unlocker program i found.

Ever have a empty folder somewhere that just wont delete? Or a dll that is being used and you just want the little b*astard gone?

Welp, this is the tool for you!

http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

Basically what it does is un hooks the file/folder from anything that is using it. It makes a nice little right-click menu for easy use.

I wasn't talking about the account that was on the computer right after you install windows, i was talking about the one thats first created after that Smile But apparently its not easy to get rid of lol.

But someone(Danpaul i think) gave me a link to something that explains how to have windows automaticly log onto a cirtain account on comp startup, thanks

Dislaimer: I have no idea what deleting the Administrator account will do, it may screw your PC, you have been warned.

Start -> Run lusrmgr.msc

(May not work on home, but will work on Pro)

Or you could use something like TweakUI to login a specific user.

He said the account AFTER you create the Administrator account at least twice. Pay attention.

lol I remember on my sister's computers a couple of years ago I deleted the main account (i guess the admin account). I made a new admin account and deleted the original in the attempt of freeing up disk space.

It didn't free up disk space and the comptuer's really fucked up ever since Sad

There is an option in Tweak-UI that allows auto log-on.

Why don't you reinstall the OS? Maybe just reinstalling SP2 would fix the group policy user account issues.
