None of these stupid videos can ever provide a valid reason for the US government wanting to kill 2,700 people.

Just comes up with an empty box...
Anyway, I do not believe anything any video on the internet has to say about 9/11. Most of them are filled with lies and are very deceiving. Hell, I don't hardly believe anything the media says either. Of course that is because the media is extremely biased.

Wake the fuck up and get over your bullshit conspiracy theories. I'm sick and tired of it. It's bad enough that this is the 5th year from whence it happened, but we STILL have idiots claiming that Bush and his administration concocted this sinister plot to attack the nation that they run. I wouldn't sabotage my company, would you? I didn't think so.

Very well put Jball.
Seriously though, how can anyone possibly believe that your own government would purposely kill it's own citizens? The fact that someone would even say that is outrageous. America is in debt as is, and the Bush Administration would not purposely attack it's own country. That would put America in even more debt. All the conspiracy folks out there really need to wake up and realize: "The world is at war. Countries will attack countries and people will attack people. If the Bush Administration did attack it's own country purposely, which it did not, the country would most likely develop into a civil war."

Just quote your post, even though I'm addressing j_ball as well. I'm not disagreeing with either of you, just point out some dangerous areas.
j_ball: Be careful here. People do, and have, sabotaged things they own to gain other benefits (in most cases, insurance money). I'm sure you've heard of the rash of charges being laid against Corporate owners who have done improper things with the companies money. That there is perhaps the greatest example of sabotaging their own company. Just because you won't doesn't mean someone else won't.
Dave: The civil war would only come about if people knew that the country was attacked by its own government. What better way to cover it up than to blame terrorists, and then start a war to take the suspicion away from the government? What was that movie called? Wag the dog?
Just to reiterate: I'm not saying I believe the conspiracy theories, just be careful of how you go about arguing against them.

Well, it *does* kill its own citizens through the legal system. Killing 2,700 and further harming a failing economy makes no sense, though.

Heh heh...actors and musicians. Because when I want information on politics and world events, I'll go to the liberal arts.
*is a liberal arts major*
The reason it's extremely, insanely unlikely for the U.S. to stage 9/11 is that it was an attack against the World Trade Center and Pentagon. If the government was looking to make serious money off the disaster, why attack an area/building(s) that already makes serious money? The millions/billions of dollars lost in their destruction, lost business, and memorial efforts would greatly offset anything gained from whatever oil reserves we don't already have access to from OPEC, not to mention the cost of weapons and whatnot used to attack.
Also, why would the government attack its own military headquarters if it wanted to start a war? That's basically like shooting yourself in the head in order to frame someone for assault. I can't see military brass corrupt enough to instigate a war as willing to potentially lose their nice offices and pretty secretaries. Not only does it not make sense to me, but it is also against general human nature.

My thought on it is the people who claim that these "conspiracies" are taking place must think that they know the government attacked it's own citizens on purpose. If that is not true, then I do not believe that the people who do believe that these conspiracies are taking place would be making a big deal out of 9/11.

That's a pretty moot point, attacking "Their own military HQ" didn't/doesn't seem to weaken their military forces in any way...also, the portion of the Pentagon happened to be under renovation at the time...
At least watch the video if you're going to make arquments. I've seen videos both for against a government conspiracy, and I have to admit there's a lot in the matter that doesn't make sense if I was to believe your government.
There's a hole in the sky through which things can fly.

At the end of the day, if we was talking about the british government, i wouldn't put it past them, i would say that neither the US government or UK government are trustworthy on any stretch of the imagination. All i'm trying to tsay although, yeah the internet is full of bullshit but the government is full of bullshit too. You just have to trust you own judgment on events.
