What would you say the optimion tempeture for a hard drive is?

mine seems to be around 52/53 celcius (according to this program i downloaded)

the metal on the top just seems hot, but the plastic on the side is so hot i cant keep my fingers on it for more than 3 seconds. is this normal?

it is normal for the hdd to get hot yes, mine does too. but make sure you keep it at that temprature, too low it wont work and also too high and it wont work.

btw: im using ur fdstalk.dll i have included the *unmodifyed* readme is that ok? i have also credited you and some other people in the source.

yes thats fine, and i didnt make FDSTalk.dll btw, i made the exe.. but not the dll


and im worried about HOW hot the hard drive is...

don't be! if you REALLY are get some cooling, my proccess constantly over heats when i have fds running but what i do is put a big desk fan blowing into my computer.
