Because bad language should be kept away from little kids, says society. However, Renegade is a game that's rated T. Games that are rated T should not be played by small children. Therefore children have no place on Renegade and the child arguement is null and void.

Thank you for bringing up ratings, though. T = 13+ year olds. PG13 = 13+ year olds. PG13 MOVIES HAVE PLENTY OF CUSSING, but for some odd reason, rated T games can't? Bullshit.

Tell me, warranto, what's the difference between n00bstories and UN, or a street corner and UN, or a navy ship and UN? Why is it okay to cuss in one and not the other? They're all open to the public.

Never once did I mention the "children argument". Good job creating an imaginary argument to prove your point though. I just mentioned that the ratings are based on what is socially acceptable.

T-rated games can have swearing, and often do. However, UN is not a T-rated game, it is a private server.

As for the differences, there are none. All deal with private individuals that make their own rules. There is no "do not swear" sign in the street corner, but there is no "feel free to swear" either. The individual group you are with must make that choice. In n00bstories, the group has decided that you will be kicked for excessive swearing. The UN, for any swearing; the Navy, only if it is done against a person; the Street Corner, only so long as someone walking by isn't offended.

Perhaps if Enforcer showed you the rest of his log, instead of just what supports his flimsy points, you'd understand. You, warranto, did not make the child arguement, although plenty of other people I've had this discussion with have made it, including some random mod the day I was banned from UN. That paragraph wasn't aimed at you. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I submit that UN is NOT a private server, but a public one, since it has no password. If it were a passworded server and I barged in, it'd be a different story, and I'd have nothing to complain about.

And I don't think there needs to be a "feel free to swear" sign on a street corner. Most street corners don't have signs that say "feel free to breathe". Most public restrooms don't have signs that say "feel free to unrinate", but people do it anyway. Does that mean they should be banned from the restroom?

By private, he means privately owned.
