I do often use Patch. For Infantry fights, the Patch is good enough. I use the Möbius for Vehiclefights.

HINT= Turn geometrical Details OFF and Möbius will shoot straight at the enemies. The Repair Gun won't tickle around also.

I don't use Patch. Why get a patch when you can get a hottie and a tank and apc rush the enemy? If you're on defence a hottie is always better because chances are you won't know the SBH is in you base before he lays a beacon. If you get a patch then you'll have to waste more money getting and engi or hotwire to disarm the nuke.

That's why I don't even think about getting Patch.

You my friend. are a genius. Plus, the repair gun has an endless supply, and steady stream of ammo to light up a SBH. The volt auto rifle is the only "weapon" I would rather have for hunting an invisible unit.

That's not true, I still would use the repair gun until I was hot on his trail.

Repair gun? You're kidding! It's range is abysmal. When you're THAT close you won't even need to use a weapon, since the SBH's shimmers will show naturally.

Outside the narrow occupation of SBH detection, does anyone actually use Patch for actual fighting?

No, not even inside the narrow occupation of SBH detection. I find it much easier to kill enemy at close range. Sniping an SBH that's not using the fire /alt fire button is very difficult. If the person you are tracking is smart, they can be next to you and you wont see them. If they move around a lot, or better yet hop like a bunny, then you may be able to snipe one.

Patch != anti-light vech.

You're better off with the regular soldier, Deadeye, or Gunner.

No Torn is right, in a way/sorta. He said Patch is the only tiberium guy, and he is. Sydney is a woman.

Yea I usuall just grab a sniper too, but that's because I have been sniping since I joined <~SI~> (Snipers Inc.). So basically I'm a pure blooded 1337 sniper, and that's what I prefer. Although I love AOW action and own behind the wheel of a vehicle, or as infantry support in the field. I'm good all around, but I hav't goten a patch lately. Will I? Well, yea I would. Patch is excelent anti-inf and can be useful if you know how to use him. He kicks ass, and as long as he does I would always use him on my enemys.

When I need something relatively inexpensive to take out some enemy infantry, I use Patch. But this thread got me to thinking, I really don't use Patch that much. He's not bad or anything, he's just not needed very often.

Not sure if she designed the weapons, but she differs from her father in that she WANTS to utilize tiberium as a weapon. For all I know she did, but I dunno...

You do find the Tiberium Auto Rifle in a Nod Technology Center first, and your first encounter with the Tiberium Flechette Gun is on the last level. You only get one clip worth...

I know Sydney is the one that designed the Prototype Assault Suit.

Acolytes are friggen annoying. When you're shooting them they start firing into the floor and healing themselves with the spash damage of the tiberium rifle. I had an easier time with Templar than I did with the Acolytes.

Patch as a whole is not that bad in infantry only servers but his weapon is exelent at taking out those stupid players. Apart from that, i must say, i use him often.

His shots are a bit slow. Not like Syndey's god-awful weapon, but still a bit slow when you're used to Mobius, or the basic infantry...

Oh no, his RPS is fine, I mean the bullets themselves travel slowly, and are pretty easy to dodge. Still, I suppose it's an improvement on the Tiberium Auto Rifle.

Hmm, true, however, one shot to the head can deliver a serious blow and a couple of shots mean death, aslong as you shoot were the enemy is going to be, not were he/she already is.
